De Jungle wil iedereen bij duurzaamheid betrekken, ook die mensen die nu (nog) niet betrokken zijn, of niet bewust betrokken zijn. Dit doen wij door voorlichting en workshops, maar ook door hele concrete projecten. Wij maken duurzaamheid tastbaar en praktisch uitvoerbaar, geen ellenlange verhalen en gesprekken, maar praktische projecten, waar iedereen aan mee kan doen. Wij krijgen heel vaak de vraag ik wil verduurzamen maar waar moet ik beginnen.

Dit doen wij in het door de Jungle met de buurt ontwikkelde groenplan voor de Dapperbuurt, met onze FIXbrigade die mensen helpt om hun huis te isoleren en natuurlijk in het Afvalpaleis.

 

Het Afvalpaleis is een (anti-kraak) locatie waar wij een duurzame toonkamer bouwen voor de buurt, waar bezoekers rond kunnen lopen, in de woonkamer kunnen gaan zitten, of in de badkamer rond kunnen kijken en op allerlei plekken informatie krijgen over hoe zij thuis eenvoudig zelf kunnen verduurzamen.

In het Afvalpaleis draait alles rond circulair, energie en groen, maar ook rond gezondheid in de zin van een gezond binnenklimaat en gezonde voeding.

Wil je zelf meehelpen?  Wordt dan vrijwilliger bij één van de projecten in het Afvalpaleis, zoals de weggeefwinkel, het repair café, de werkplaats of in de huiskamer. Je kunt ook helpen door een gesprekstafel te leiden of een workshop te geven.

En voor wie zelf spullen maakt zijn er vitrine kasten waar je je spulletjes kunt uitstallen om ze aan de buurt te verkopen.

Afvalpaleis

The Jungle wants to involve everyone in sustainability, including the people who might not be involved yet, or are not involved consciously. We do this by providing education and workshops, but also by concrete projects. We try to make sustainability available and practically executable, no endless stories and conversations, but practical projects to which everybody can contribute. We often get the question: I want to live more sustainable, but where do I begin?

We do this by our greenery plan for the Dapperbuurt, developed by the Jungle and the neighbourhood. But also by the FIXbrigade, which helps people to insulate their homes and ofcours by the Afvalpaleis.

The Afvalpaleis (wastepalace) is a location where we build a sustainable showroom for the neighbourhood, where visitors can walk around, take a seat in the living room, and get informed on how to make their own house more sustainable.

In the Afvalpaleis everything evolves around circularity, energy and greenery, but also around a healthy house and healthy food.

Do you want to contribute? You could become a volunteer for one of the projects within the Afvalpaleis. like the giveaway shop, the repair café, the workplace or in the living room. You could also help by leading a conversation table or providing a workshop.
